Great news that the work on site for Blackpool Conference Centre at the Winter Gardens will start very soon, with completion and handover due for April 2019.
The new facilities include 1600 sq m of space over 2 floors and link in to the Empress Ballroom, Opera House and other rooms within the Winter Gardens, to provide a venue of substantial size for conferences and events. Modern purpose built facilities combine with the elegance and heritage of the existing facilities to provide a new venue that pleases all tastes.
The design team is led by Bisset Adams Architects, with The Right Solution an integral part of the team. Having produced the comprehensive brief for the design team, we continue to work alongside the design team, the client and the contractors McLaughlin & Harvey – well known to us through their work on Belfast Waterfront. The completed facilities will meet the needs of the organiser and the attending visitors as well as the operators well into the future.
The Right Solution has worked with Blackpool Council and Visit Blackpool since 2004, producing feasibility studies and site appraisal options for new convention facilities in the town. Ultimately, it was decided to build an extension to the Winter Gardens with our work on the economic appraisal significantly contributing to winning the funding.
