May 2nd 2013 – the launch of the EICC’s new facilities took place.
The Right Solution has been working with the EICC for 10 years to achieve this – and what an opening event it was. Just take a look at the video of the event here.
Having worked on developing the original building, which opened in 1995, we were delighted to be part of EICC’s team to develop this exciting new extension. The original building’s revolving auditoria were unique at the time. The extension’s moving floor is unique now. This gives the EICC’s Lennox Suite an unprecedented flexibility.
The floor consists of 29 lifts, supported by 222 Spiralifts – the largest installation of Spiralifts in the world. This enables the room to be configured as a raked auditorium, tiered cabaret style, “in-the-round” raked auditorium and arena style. When divided by moving walls, section 3 of the Lennox Suite can also become a tiered auditorium.
The idea for this unique facility was developed by Eric Rymer of The Right Solution, in discussion with Robert Heimbach of Gala Systems of Montreal, the manufacturers of the Spiralift.
The Right Solution has been intimately involved with all aspects of the development, from initial business planning, through writing the brief, working with the design team and contractors to specifying and procuring the furniture, fixtures and fittings, such as 3,200 chairs, 350 tables, HD video projectors and over 500 cables for the technical team. It has been a long journey, but one filled with innovation, quality and determination to produce an extension that will exceed the customers’ expectations. The Right Solution wish the EICC much success for the future.
